The kind of doctors needed for various injuries:
Orthopedic surgeons - Orthopedics is the branch of medicine concerned with injuries to, or conditions involving, the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons address most muscle and bone injuries that require surgery, and some are also skilled at dealing with congenital conditions that result in orthopedic deformities, using both surgical and non-surgical means.
General surgeons - Medical doctors who are specially trained in a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal organs, (intestines including esophagus, stomach, colon, liver, gallbladder and bile ducts), and often the thyroid gland (depending on the availability of head and neck surgery specialists) and hernias.
Family Practice Doctors - These are the primary care physicians who treat patients from birth to death. Family physicians will see anyone with any problem, but are experts in common problems.
Chiropractors - Chiropractic medicine is a health care profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, with special emphasis on the spine, under the theory that these disorders affect general health because of misalignment of the spine.
Internal Medicine - Internal medicine is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis, management and nonsurgical treatment of unusual or serious diseases for adults.
Neurologists - Neurology is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Physicians who specialize in neurology are called neurologists, and are trained to investigate, or diagnose and treat, neurological disorders.
Neurosurgeons - Neurosurgery is the surgical specialty on treating those central, peripheral nervous system and spinal column injuries or disease. Neurosurgeons can perform surgery on the brain and spinal cord.
Neuropsychologist - A psychologist who has completed special training in the neurobiological causes of brain disorders. They specialize in diagnosing and treating these illnesses using a predominantly medical approach.
Neuroradiologists - a radiologist with a subspecialty focused on the diagnosis of abnormalites of the central and peripheral nervous system, spine, and head and neck.
